Compassionate Therapy to Untangle Complex Emotions and Foster Growth

About Lex
You’ve been coping the best you can, but lately it feels like “just getting through” isn’t enough—for you or for your child. Maybe you’re seeing big emotions, shutdowns, or behaviors that don’t make sense from the outside. Maybe your child has gone through trauma or major changes, or you’re a young adult carrying a childhood that still shows up in your everyday life. Therapy can be a place to safely untangle all of that and build new ways to move forward.
I work with infants, children, teens, and young adults (ages 0–24) who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, ADHD, grief and loss, family stress, identity, and life transitions. I have a particular focus on adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), complex trauma, and adjustment challenges. I also support clients exploring cultural identity, spirituality, and what it means to grow up between worlds as a first‑generation or BIPOC individual.
In our work together, you can expect a space that is warm, direct, and collaborative. I balance structure with flexibility—we’ll set clear goals while staying responsive to what you bring in each session. My approach is integrative and tailored to each client, drawing from CBT, EMDR, person-centered therapy, play therapy, mindfulness-based and somatic therapies, and solution-focused work. With younger children, this often looks like play, art, and body-based regulation skills; with teens and young adults, it may include deeper insight work, trauma processing, and practical tools for day-to-day life.
As a first‑generation, BIPOC clinician with a spiritual lens, I understand how culture, family expectations, and identity can shape mental health—both as stressors and as sources of strength. I welcome conversations about faith, spirituality, and meaning-making when they’re important to you. I also enjoy working with creatives and sensitive, thoughtful young people who may feel “different,” “too much,” or “not enough” in traditional spaces.
